Adam Mascherin selected by the Florida Panthers at the NHL Draft

The Florida Panthers selected Rangers forward Adam Mascherin with the 2nd round, 38th overall pick of the 2016 NHL Draft.

The pick originally belonged to the Buffalo Sabres, but a trade earlier in the day saw the Sabres acquire defenceman Dmitry Kulikov and the 33rd overall pick (C Rasmus Asplund) from the Panthers.

In exchange, the Panthers received defenseman Mark Pysyk, the 38th overall pick (Mascherin), and the 89th overall pick (D Linus Nassen).
