OHL News – Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle and presented by Warrior Hockey returns for the 2016-17 regular season bringing fans insight from feature guests as well as news and notes from around the league each and every week over the airwaves.
This week’s segment features Florida Panthers prospect Adam Mascherin of the Kitchener Rangers who ranks third in OHL scoring with 99 points including 35 goals and 64 assists through 63 games heading into the final weekend of regular season play.
Mascherin, an 18-year-old from Maple, ON, is playing in his third season with the Rangers who chose him second overall in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection. The forward needs just one point over his final two games to reach the prestigious century club, while a single goal would establish a new career-high.
The second round pick of the Panthers in the 2016 NHL Draft chats with Doyle about the dressing room buzz heading into post-season play and being a veteran presence for his teammates. He also recalls his OHL Cup experience with the Vaughan Kings during his minor midget season where he earned GTHL Player of the Year honours.
