The Ontario Hockey League today announced the exhibition game schedule for the 2012-13 season.
The schedule includes 50 games beginning on Friday August 31, 2012, and ending on Sunday September 16, 2012.
The Kitchener Rangers will play their first of six pre-season exhibition games starting Friday, August 31 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex located at 101 Father David Bauer Drive, Waterloo. Due to ongoing construction at The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex, all home exhibition Rangers games will be played at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.
Rangers home exhibition tickets will be available for purchase at the door of the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (site of all home exhibition games). There will be no ticket pre-sale and seating will be general admission.

Highlights of the league’s 2012-13 exhibition game schedule include four games featuring OHL teams against QMJHL clubs when the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies travel to play the Kitchener Rangers on August 31 in Waterloo, followed by the Erie Otters on September 1 in Goderich. The Ottawa 67’s and Gatineau Olympiques will also play a home-and-home series September 7-8 in Smiths Falls and Rockland. In addition to those four off-site games, communities such as Ajax, Bowmanville, Brockville, Elmira, Newmarket, St. Thomas, and Uxbridge will have the opportunity to enjoy OHL action. The Mississauga Steelheads will also host exhibition games off-site but in their community, playing at Port Credit Arena, Iceland Arena and Vic Johnston Arena.
The 680-game OHL regular season opens on Thursday September 20, 2012. The Rangers will kick off the season on the road in Mississauga on Friday, September 21 at 7:30pm.
