The Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club is pleased to announce the opening of the Hall of History, a unique space commemorating the tradition of Rangers hockey in our community. The Hall of History will open its doors for the first time on Friday, September 20 when the Rangers kick off the regular season against the Saginaw Spirit.
Located at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, the home of the Rangers for more than 50 seasons, the Hall of History presents historical artifacts and memorabilia that highlight the people and the moments that define our franchise.
Fans will have the opportunity to travel back to the team’s inaugural 1963-64 season, learn more about the Rangers’ builders and re-live our Memorial Cup Championship seasons with displays featuring many never-before-seen items.
“The Hall of History is an opportunity to showcase our history so all fans can share in it. We’re excited to present this space where we can bring our traditions and treasures out of storage and proudly display them,” explains Steve Bienkowski, Chief Operating Officer and Governor of the Kitchener Rangers.
The opening night exhibits will also feature players with Rangers roots who have gone on to professional and international success.
“This addition to our facility allows us to interact with our alumni and to put on display memorabilia celebrating their achievements with the Rangers and beyond,” says Bienkowski.
Fans attending the Rangers’ Home Opener on September 20 are welcome to explore the Hall of History. The museum is located on the main concourse and can be accessed through Rangers Authentics. Doors will open at 6:00pm to those holding a valid game ticket.
The Hall of History will be open to fans attending each Kitchener Rangers home game. Doors will also be open to the general public during Rangers Authentics hours on Thursdays (4-8pm) and Saturdays (10-6pm).
