Sun Life Financial and the Rangers team up for Kids In Gear

On Sunday, Sun Life Financial hosted a Skate with the Rangers at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex.

Sun Life Financial has teamed up with the Kitchener Rangers to help more kids get into the game we all love – hockey! During the Skate with the Rangers a cheque for the amount of $10,000.00 was presented to the Kids In Gear program.

The Sun Life Financial Kids In Gear program assists with the collection and purchasing of hockey equipment for youth who require support in order to play our national pastime. The program assists with everything from supporting minor hockey associations to helping offset the costs of registration.

Over the past four seasons the Sun Life Financial Kids In Gear program has collected over $98,000 in monetary and equipment donations for more than 500 deserving families throughout our region, including more than $54,000 raised last year alone, helping 167 local kids achieve their dream of playing hockey.
