1) Tonight marks the first of two meetings between the Hamilton Bulldogs and Kitchener Rangers this season, and the lone time the Bulldogs will visit the Aud. The next and final meeting will take place at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton on Monday, February 20 (Family Day) at 2pm.

2) The Rangers were 1-1-0-0 vs. the Bulldogs last season. Kitchener claimed a 4-2 win in Hamilton on January 8, while Hamilton returned the favour with a 5-4 victory here at the Aud on February 15.

3) The Rangers most recent game was a 5-4 loss to the Knights in London last night. The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves in Hamilton on Saturday.

4) Rangers’ winger Darby Llewellyn sits 9th all-time in number of regular season games played in Rangers’ franchise history. Sunday, Oct. 16 vs. the Guelph Storm was Darby’s 250th regular season game played in a Rangers uniform. Tonight will be game #252 as he chases Serge Payer for 8th all-time (257).

5) Darby Llewellyn is now one of only 46 players in franchise history to score 75 or more regular season goals in his career with the Rangers. With 76 goals, he now trails Jeff Skinner who scored 77 in his two seasons with the Rangers from 2008-10.

6) Rangers’ centre Mason Kohn is seven points away from 100 career regular season points. (35G, 58A = 93Pts in 183GP)

7) Kitchener has scored the game’s opening goal in six of 10 games to start the season, going 2-4 in that span. They are 4-0 when allowing the first goal of the game. The Bulldogs have won all four games when they’ve scored the game’s opening goal. They are 3-2 when allowing the first goal.

8) Rangers’ winger Adam Mascherin is tied for the league lead in assists with 15 through ten games played.

9) Greg Meireles leads all OHL rookies in assists (11) and points (15).

10) Of Jeremy Bracco’s 28 career regular season goals for the Rangers, only four were scored with the man advantage. (23 even strength, one shorthanded.)

11) Rangers defenceman Doug Blaisdell is closing in on Top-20 all-time in number of regular season games played by a Rangers defenceman. In his fourth season, tonight will be Blaisdell’s 184th game in a Rangers uniform. He is just four games back of Frank Hora (188, 19th), who is the longest tenured current Rangers defenceman in regular season games played.

12) Kitchener’s Giovanni Vallati (BLACK), Riley Damiani (RED), Eric Guest (RED) and Hamilton’s Connor Roberts (RED) have all been selected to represent Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Sault Ste. Marie from Oct. 27-Nov. 5, 2016.
