Kitchener Rangers connections compete in AHL’s Calder Cup Playoffs

108 OHL graduates, including 13 Kitchener Rangers alumni, have been competing for the American Hockey League’s prestigious championship trophy, the Calder Cup.
Of the 16 teams that made the playoffs, the Rangers will be represented among ten. Of those ten, three will have multiple alumni representing the Blueshirts, as the Tucson Roadrunners included former captain Ryan MacInnis and former coach Mike Van Ryn. Julian Melchiori dressed as a member of the Manitoba Moose, who also called up defenceman Logan Stanley after the postseason got underway. Former captain Frank Hora was also recently called up to rejoin the Lehigh Valley Phantoms along with former Ranger Phil Varone.
