RANGERS AND GREYHOUNDS COMPLETE TRADE

Kitchener Rangers General Manager Murray Hiebert announced Tuesday that the team has completed a trade with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

In the trade, the Rangers acquire centre David Miller, Sault Ste. Marie’s second round picks in the 2016 and 2018 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selections, and Plymouth’s third round pick in 2015. The Rangers also receive a conditional pick; the Greyhounds third round selection in 2018. In return, Sault Ste. Marie acquires forward Justin Bailey.

Miller has recorded 13 goals and 13 assists for the Greyhounds this season. The Burlington, ON native was included in NHL Central Scouting’s November rankings for the 2015 Entry Draft, and is described by Rangers’ scouts as a smart and creative playmaker with good speed and skill.

“The Greyhounds are receiving a quality player and young man, and we wish Justin well,” said Hiebert. “In return, we have obtained a talented, younger player that we are excited to be adding to our program.”
