Suad Yassin takes pride in connecting some of the most vulnerable people in our community to shelter and housing.
In a time when so many are out of work and in need, Suad and her co-workers at Lutherwood work tirelessly and selflessly to make sure members of our community have a roof over their head.
Suad and her team provide rental and housing search resources, rent funding and connections to emergency shelters.
This has been a difficult time for many of our frontline workers, as the mental and emotional toll is huge as resources are stretched thin and workloads have intensified.
Throughout these turbulent times, we have depended on people like Suad and others who put a great deal of effort into this community and the residents that need assistance.
Lutherwood is a progressive, not-for-profit health and social service organization that strengthens people’s lives in our community regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual identity by providing mental health, employment and housing services to more than 19,600 people annually in Waterloo Region and Wellington County.
