Dickie named first star in all three road games.

Kitchener Rangers netminder Scott Dickie led the Rangers to a 1-0-2 record this past weekend. The Rangers defeated the Sudbury Wolves 5-0 Friday night, and followed that up with a pair of 2-2 ties in North Bay and Sault Ste. Marie. This weekend, the 4-1-2 Rangers take on the North Bay Centennials Friday night. Game time is 7:30pm at The Aud. Saturday, the Rangers head to Barrie for a Saturday night match-up with the Colts.

THE STORY

Kitchener Rangers netminder Scott Dickie led the Rangers to a 1-0-2 record this past weekend. Dickie, who was named the first star in all three games, earned his first shutout of the season in a 5-0 romp over the Sudbury Wolves on Friday night. The Rangers netminder turned away 93 of the 97 shots he faced over the three game span, to raise his already outstanding save percentage to .947.

Chad McCaffrey scored his first OHL goal early into the first, and that held up as the game winner. Jeff Szwez, John Dunphy, Petr Kanko, and Ryan Ramsay added singles for the Rangers.

Saturday in North Bay, Dickie turned back 26 of 28 shots in another first star performance. Mike Richards and Petr Hemsky added the Ranger goals.

Sunday in Sault Ste. Marie, Dickie again stole the show with an outstanding performance. The Greyhounds outshot the Rangers 42-21, however Dickie stopped 40 of those shots in giving the Rangers another 2-2 tie. Mike Richards and Mike Amodeo each scored for the Rangers.

This weekend, the Rangers host the North Bay Centennials Friday night. Game time is 7:30pm at The Aud. Meet Miss Oktoberfest 2001 Karen Long of West Virginia as she drops the ceremonial first puck!

On Saturday, the Rangers head to Barrie, for a 7:30pm matchup with the Colts.

Rogers Television 20 will air the Rangers-Centennials game live @ 7:30pm on Friday and the Rangers-Colts game live on Saturday @ 7:30pm.
