Rangers Deal With Bulls

Kitchener, ON: Fresh off of a weekend that saw them knock off Sudbury and Erie by a combined 13-4 margin, the Rangers have made another deal, this time with the Belleville Bulls.

In the trade the Rangers acquire 6’ 1” RW/C David Clarkson in exchange for future considerations.

Last year Clarkson split time with the Belleville Bulls and the Aurora Tigers Jr. A Hockey Club.

Last season as a member of the Bulls, the Toronto native appeared in 22 games picking up 2 goals and 9 points. With Aurora he appeared in 37 games registering 26 goals, 49 points and 189 PIM’s.

In limited action this season with the Bulls Clarkson has played in 4 games and picked up 11 PIM’s.

Last week Rangers head coach Peter DeBoer acquired D George Halkidis from Saginaw. On Saturday Halkidis scored twice in the Rangers 8-4 win over Erie.

In other Rangers news, D George Visenka has returned home to the Czech Republic.
