Rangers Defeat Sting 5-2

Michael Catenacci put Kitchener up 1-0 over the Sting after scoring his 10th goal of the season at 5:44 of the first period. Gabriel Landeskog increased the Rangers lead 2-0 by 12:46. Shots on goal were in favoured the Rangers 14-8.

Julian Cimadamore picked up his fifth goal of the season at the 15:10 mark of the second to make it 3-0 Kitchener. Zack MacQueen replied for the Sting at 18:29 to make it a two goal game. 26 seconds later, Chris MacKinnon gave the Rangers their three goal lead. The Rangers headed to the dressing room up 4-1.

Kale Kerbashian narrowed the gap 4-2 for the Sting close to the mid-way mark of the third period. Jason Akeson would get the empty net goal for Kitchener with 41 seconds left in the game to close scoring 5-2.

Mavric Parks claimed his 13th win in net for the Rangers as he turned aside 30 of 32 shots.
The Rangers return to The Aud for their last home game before Christmas, tomorrow, Friday, December 18th to host the Guelph Storm. Game time is 7:30pm.
