Rangers Sign Top Goalie Prospect

Kitchener, ON: Another piece of the Rangers puzzle has been put into place for the upcoming season as Rangers head coach/general manager Peter DeBoer announced the signing of rookie goaltender Carlo DiRienzo today.

DiRienzo, a big 6’ 0” goalie from North York, played last season with the North York Rangers Bantam team and was selected by the Rangers in the 2nd round (32nd overall) of the OHL Draft.

Last year with the North York DiRienzo posted a 2.35 GAA to go along with 4 shutouts in 34 games played.

“It is great to have Carlo signed and coming to camp” said Rangers head coach/general manager Peter DeBoer. “His signing gives us great depth at an essential position.”

DiRienzo will join 5 other goalies in training camp which opens this Wednesday at the Aud.
