Kitchener, ON: The Canadian Hockey League announced Wednesday that the Kitchener Rangers will host the Hershey Cup All-Star game on Wednesday, November 27th, 2002 at the Aud, game time is 7:00 pm.
The game will pit the best of the OHL’s Western Conference against players from the QMJHL representing the Frank Dilio Conference. The game is one of three all-star games that will take place across Canada. Other host cities include Hull, Quebec and Vancouver, British Columbia.
It was also announced that Rangers Head Coach Peter DeBoer would be part of the selection committee for the Western team.
Tickets for the game will go on sale the public on September 19th at the Auditorium box office. Tickets for the game are $22.50 for the general public and $20.50 for current Rangers season ticket holders. Ranger season ticket holders seats will be held until October 1st. Included with a game ticket each fan will receive a limited edition souvenir game program and the chance to win one of forty game worn autographed jerseys.
A reminder the Rangers open the 2002-03 OHL season Friday, September 20th vs. the Windsor Spitfires. Opening ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 7:15 pm.
