The Kitchener Rangers have traded center Scott Sheppard to the Kingston Frontenacs in return for the Frontenacs 4th Round Draft Pick in the 2002 OHL Priority Selection.

In other news, the Rangers learned today that the OHL has suspended Derek Roy for 6 games, the result of a major penalty received in the game against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds September 30 at Kitchener.

The Kitchener Rangers have traded center Scott Sheppard to the Kingston Frontenacs in return for the Frontenacs 4th Round Draft Pick in the 2002 OHL Priority Selection.

Sheppard, 18, played just over a season with the Rangers. He was the teams 1st round selection in the 1999 OHL Bantam Draft.

A native of Selkirk, Ontario, Sheppard compiled 11 goals and 16 assists in 67 games last year. This year, in two games, Sheppard recorded 1 assist.

The OHL announced today Rangers center Derek Roy has been suspended for 6 games following a major penalty received in Sundays game against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Roy, 18, will be eligible to return to the Rangers lineup Friday, October 19 when the Rangers host the Erie Otters.
